Pritesh Walia is a New Delhi–born composer-bandleader and jazz guitarist crafting globally informed modern jazz for both small groups and large ensembles. Rooted in Indian classical traditions and shaped by contemporary jazz language, his music blends rhythmic depth, expansive harmony, and dynamic ensemble interplay.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory, Walia has performed internationally, including two appearances at the Panama Jazz Festival. His debut album Hope Town, mixed and mastered by multi-Grammy–winning engineer Dave Darlington, established him as a distinctive compositional voice.
From his organ trio PSA to large-ensemble and cross-cultural projects, Walia leads with a clear artistic vision designed for major festival stages.
